One person died after a rear-end crash on city’s West Side (San Antonio, TX)

One person was killed following a two-vehicle accident on the city’s West Side on Monday morning.

As per the initial information, the rear-end crash took place at the intersection of Saunders St. and Zarzamora St. at about 11 a.m. The early reports showed that a truck was speeding when it struck a car from behind. Then, the driver of the truck stepped out of the vehicle, collapsed and died.

As of now, it is unknown if anyone else was injured as a result of the collision. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are made available.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
