One person was killed and another received injuries after a vehicle rear-ended a Valley Metro bus Thursday night in Phoenix.
As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle accident took place at around 11:50 p.m. on I-10 near milepost 141. The early reports showed that the driver of a pickup truck struck a Valley Metro traveling on the freeway near 35th Avenue.
The truck’s driver received major injuries and was pronounced dead. On the other hand, the bus driver suffered non-critical injuries. Impairment is not believed to be involved in the accident. The freeway was closed down for at least an hour while crews worked at the scene. No other information is available.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
