One person dead after an auto-pedestrian collision in Norco (Norco, CA)

One person was killed after getting struck by a vehicle Monday in Norco.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place at 1:39 a.m. on 5th Street and Hamner Avenue. According to the authorities, a driver failed to stop and ran down a pedestrian. On arrival, responders rushed the pedestrian to a hospital where they were later pronounced dead.

It is unknown if the driver involved remained at the scene or not after the accident. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No further details are available.

The incident remains under investigation.
