A traffic collision claimed the life of one person and injured two others on Sunday, Oct. 17.
As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place at the intersection of La Canada and Duval Mine Road. Green Valley Fire, PCSD, and Sahuarita PD actively responded to the crash scene on reports of a crash. The early reports showed that one person died while two others were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
The events that have led up to the accident remain unknown at this time. No details have been provided regarding the vehicles involved in the wreck. As of approximately 7:00 p.m., the roadway was opened again to traffic.
An investigation is underway.
