The Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in Las Vegas.
The accident happened on mile marker 12 and Las Vegas Boulevard at around 2:50 p.m.
A gray Chrysler Pacifica van was approaching a left curve on Las Vegas Boulevard as it was moving south.
The car allegedly failed to navigate the curve for an unknown reason, traveling into the right dirt shoulder and flipping over.
There were six people in the van: two children and four adults.
One of the young people suffered fatal injuries from the collision and was declared dead at the scene.
One adult and one juvenile were both taken to University Medical Center in critical condition along with the remaining passengers.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the police.
