A two-vehicle crash on southbound MO-79 at Old MO-79 left one driver with moderate injuries, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash was investigated at 7:05 p.m. on July 21, 2026, in St. Charles County, the patrol said. A 2024 Rivian EDV was traveling southbound on MO-79 when it collided with a 2008 Cadillac Escalade traveling northbound, per the report.

A 32-year-old man from Lake St. Louis sustained moderate injuries in the collision and was transported for medical treatment, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. No fatalities were reported in connection with the crash.
