A crash involving two southbound vehicles left one driver with minor injuries on MO-43 just south of Joplin, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol online crash report.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the collision occurred at approximately 7:40 p.m. on September 3, 2026, roughly half a mile south of Joplin in Newton County. A 2013 Toyota Camry and a 2007 Jeep Patriot, both traveling southbound on MO-43, were involved, the patrol reported.

A 32-year-old woman from Seneca was injured in the crash, sustaining minor injuries, according to the patrol's report. She was transported to a medical facility for treatment. No other injuries or fatalities were reported in connection with the crash.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D is investigating the incident under case number 260374926. Further details about the sequence of events leading up to the collision have not been released.
