A crash on eastbound Interstate 255 near Telegraph Road left one person dead and two others injured Wednesday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred at approximately 2:05 p.m. on September 9, 2026, east of Telegraph Road in St. Louis County, per a Highway Patrol online crash report. Troop C responded to the scene.
The report identifies the vehicles involved as a 2026 Peterbilt 589 and a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, both traveling eastbound at the time of the crash.
A 52-year-old man from Jerseyville, Illinois, sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was transported for medical treatment, the Highway Patrol said. A 73-year-old woman from St. Louis sustained minor injuries and was also transported for treatment. A juvenile occupant involved in the crash suffered minor injuries and received medical care as well.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. No further details on the sequence of events leading to the collision have been released.
