One woman died and two other people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on southbound US-61 at Dietrich Road in St. Charles County, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The collision was reported at 3:00 p.m. on Oct. 3, 2026.

The Patrol said the crash involved a 2021 Toyota Camry traveling westbound and a 2024 Freightliner traveling southbound. A 29-year-old woman from O'Fallon, who was driving the Camry, suffered serious injuries and was taken for medical treatment, the Patrol reported. A 29-year-old female occupant from Wentzville sustained fatal injuries and was also transported for treatment, according to the report. A 50-year-old woman from Florissant, identified as the driver of the second vehicle, suffered minor injuries and was transported as well.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C investigated the crash, which is documented under incident report number 260421162.
