A crash on Missouri 8 at Whippett Road in St. Francois County left one man dead and another injured, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol online crash report.
The collision happened at approximately 7:42 a.m. on October 16, 2026, and involved a 2020 Freightliner Coronado 122 traveling eastbound and a 2019 Ford F150 traveling westbound, the patrol said.
A 50-year-old man from Farmington, Missouri, who was driving one of the vehicles, suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was transported for medical treatment, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. A 49-year-old man from Irondale, Missouri, sustained moderate injuries and was also taken for medical care.
The crash, identified in patrol records as incident 260439004, is being investigated by Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C. No further details about the circumstances leading up to the collision have been released.
