A motorcyclist died and another was injured Saturday afternoon following a crash involving four motorcycles near Sheridan, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at approximately 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of RT-F and MO-46, about three miles east of Sheridan, Patrol records show. All four vehicles involved were Harley Davidson motorcycles — model years 2025, 2025, 2021 and 2017 — and all were traveling eastbound at the time, the Patrol's preliminary crash report states.

A 44-year-old man from Winterset, Iowa, suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Patrol. A second rider, a 47-year-old man from Bedford, Iowa, sustained moderate injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the report indicates.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop H is investigating the crash, which is identified in Patrol records under incident number 260366757. No further details on the two remaining motorcycles or their operators have been released.
