A 58-year-old man died Friday afternoon after the vehicle he was driving crashed on Highway 21 about three miles north of Ellington, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 1:10 p.m. and involved a single vehicle, a 1999 Ford Explorer traveling northbound, the Patrol's preliminary online crash report states. The driver, a 58-year-old man from Redford, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Patrol.
A 46-year-old woman, also from Redford, was riding in the vehicle at the time of the crash. She sustained moderate injuries and was transported for medical treatment, the Patrol reported.
