Officials identified 83-year-old Edward Brown who died after a crash in SE Austin (Austin, TX)

Authorities identified 83-year-old Edward Brown, as the man who lost his life following a traffic accident on Feb. 26 in Southeast Austin.

The fatal two-vehicle crash took place at the intersection of Hwy 183 and Riverside Drive at about 6:45 a.m. According to the investigation reports, a Kia Sorento and a pickup truck crashed into each other for undetermined reasons.

The driver of the truck, identified as 83-year-old Edward Brown, was rushed to a local hospital here he was later declared deceased. Officials reported that the occupant of the Kia stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. No further details were provided.

An investigation continues.
