Officials identified 73-year-old Sharon Watts who died after a pedestrian crash in Logan neighborhood (Spokane, WA)

Authorities identified 73-year-old Sharon Watts as the woman who lost her life after being hit by a vehicle on Jan. 24 in Logan Neighborhood.

The fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place on East Mission Avenue near North Columbus Street. Officers actively responded to the scene a little after 6 p.m. On arrival, responders found residents performing CPR on the victim. Police took over medical care until the Spokane Fire Department and American Medical Response arrived. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

In an update on Thursday, it was said that the driver was not arrested but was issued an infraction for suspicion of failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. The medical examiner’s office reported that Watts died from blunt force injuries of the head, neck, torso and extremities. Her death was ruled as accidental. No other details were provided.
