Authorities identified 53-year-old Lonny Paul Morgan, of Kingman, as the man who lost his life while 44-year-old Carmelita Lopez, also from Kingman, as the woman who suffered injuries following a traffic accident Saturday near Dolan Springs.
The fatal single-vehicle crash was reported at 3:22 PM, near milepost 14 on Stockton Hill Road in a remote desert area in nearby Mohave County. On arrival, officers found a car with extensive damage as well as a man and woman, who had been ejected from the vehicle. The man, identified as 53-year-old Lonny Paul Morgan was declared deceased at the scene by the officials.
44-year-old Carmelita Lopez of Kingman was responsive and airlifted to UMC in Las Vegas after having multiple injuries. She is listed in stable condition. Speed and inattention seemed to have contributed to the accident. No other details are available.
An investigation continues.
