Authorities identified 51-year-old Danny V Bohannon, of Alba, as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon near Alba.
The fatal motorcycle crash took place on FM 17, approximately three miles south of Alba. The preliminary reports showed that Danny V Bohannon was driving a 2001 Yamaha motorcycle southbound on FM 17, south of mile marker 266.
He reportedly tried to negotiate a curve to the right. At that point of time, a 2018 Dodge Ram 2500, driven by 44-year-old Tony R Curtiss, of Sulphur Springs, was driving north in the curve. The reports further stated that the motorcycle failed to stay in its lane and drifted into the northbound lane where it was hit by the Dodge Ram.
Bohannan succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The condition of Curtiss remains undisclosed. No other information is available.
An investigation is ongoing.
