Authorities identified 48-year-old Jack Phillip Singleton II, of Bakersfield, as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident Thursday night in Oildale.
The fatal motorcycle crash took place at about 7:23 p.m. at Sequoia Drive and Roberts Lane in which a motorcycle and Ford Explorer were involved. Jack Phillip Singleton suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials.
It is unknown if the driver of the Ford Explorer received injuries as a result of the collision. No other details are made available.
An investigation continues.
