Officials identified 39-year-old Chancey Leann Birnbaum who died in an auto-pedestrian crash (Nashville, TN)

Authorities identified 39-year-old Chancey Leann Birnbaum as the woman who lost her life following an auto-pedestrian accident Tuesday morning in Nashville.

As per the initial information, officials actively responded to the area of East Thompson Lane at about 6:50 a.m. after getting reports of a hit-and-run crash. On arrival, responding officers found one adult female victim.

According to the officials, the 39-year-old victim was found approximately 200 feet from Murfreesboro Pike. The woman was rushed to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. No other details have been released by the authorities.

The incident remains under active review.
