Officials identified 37-year-old Frank Nelson Jr. who died after a motorcycle crash in Lake Charles (Lake Charles, LA)

Authorities identified 37-year-old Frank Nelson Jr., of Sulphur, as the man who lost his life following a motorcycle crash on Friday in Lake Charles.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place on August 20 at 11:54 pm at the intersection of Ryan Street and Belden Street. The bike rider, identified as 37-year-old Frank Nelson Jr., was rushed to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation of the crash revealed that Nelson was heading northbound on Ryan Street when, at the intersection, he collided with another vehicle going eastbound on Belden Street. Standard toxicology tests are pending.

An investigation is ongoing at this time.
