Authorities identified 36-year-old Kevin Carter as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident Sunday near Lakeside.
The fatal motorcycle crash took place at around 3:37 p.m. on Winter Gardens Boulevard and Sapota Drive. The Trailblazer was tuning left onto Sapota Drive at the intersection when the incident happened.
The motorcyclist, a Lakeside resident, was ejected from the Harley, and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was reportedly wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. The 68-year-old Lakeside man driving the Trailblazer incurred only minor injuries but was not transported to a hospital. Alcohol and drugs were not believed to be involved in the crash. No other details are available.
