Officials identified 34-year-old Brian Klintworth who died after a crash in Kalamazoo County (Kalamazoo County, MI)

Authorities released the name of 34-year-old Brian Klintworth, an Otsego resident, who lost his life following a multi-vehicle wreck in Kalamazoo County on Tuesday evening.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place at about 8 p.m. along US 131, close to Stadium Drive and W. Main Street. The preliminary investigation revealed that Brian Klintworth drifted his vehicle to avoid hitting a deer but failed to maintain control of his car.

The vehicle then crashed into a semi-tractor trailer and Honda Accord. Brian Klintworth succumbed to his injuries at the scene. According to the officers, his wife received non-life threatening injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
