Officials identified 34-year-old Amber Nicole Ramirez who died in a single-vehicle crash on I-20 (Shreveport, LA)

Authorities identified 34-year-old Amber Nicole Ramirez, of Tyler, Texas, as the woman who lost her life in a single-vehicle crash Sunday night on I-20 in Shreveport. The accident also left two children, who have not been identified yet, in the hospital.

As per the initial information, the fatal incident took place just before 8 p.m. The investigation reports showed that the vehicle was heading south on I-20, close to Pines Road, when it collided with a guardrail, flipped and landed back on its wheels.

The accident took the life of the female driver while two children, who were passengers, were transported to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport with non-fatal injuries. The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time.

An investigation is ongoing.
