Officials identified 23-year-old Christopher Ellington who died in a pedestrian crash (Macon County, GA)

Authorities identified 23-year-old Christopher Ellington who lost his life after being hit by a vehicle Sunday in Macon County.

The investigation reports showed that the driver was heading westbound in a Chevy Malibu on GA-224, close to Shiloh Church Road at about 1 a.m. Sunday. The reports further revealed that Ellington, who was reportedly wearing all dark clothing at the time, ran from the north shoulder of the road into the way of the Malibu. He was struck and received major injuries in the accident. No charges will be filed against the driver of the car. No other details have been released.
