Officials identified 21-year-old Jason Briggs as the man who died after a single-vehicle crash Wednesday in East Austin.

As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle accident took place in the 3800 block of Manor Road at 5:26 PM. Authorities actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, found one person lying in the road.

The early reports showed that Jason Briggs was riding a motorcycle when, for unknown reasons, he struck a curb. Due to the impact, he was thrown from the vehicle. Briggs was rushed to the hospital where he later died of his injuries. No other details are available.

The cause of the crash remains under review.
