Officials identified 20-year-old Aliye Ringe who died after a multi-vehicle accident in Baton Rouge (Baton Rouge, LA)

Authorities identified 20-year-old Aliye Ringe as the victim who was killed following a multi-vehicle wreck on Dec. 22 that also injured a child and several others in Baton Rouge.

The fatal three-vehicle pile-up took place on Hooper Road and Corlett Drive. According to the investigation reports, one vehicle pulled out onto Hooper Road from Corlett Drive without yielding and collided with a vehicle traveling on the highway. The impact pushed the second vehicle into the oncoming lane, causing a head-on crash with a third vehicle.

One adult in the third vehicle sustained critical injuries. Three adults and one child were also injured in the accident. The victim in the third vehicle, identified as 20-year-old Aliye Ringe, later succumbed to their injuries in a hospital. Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the collision. No other details are made available.

An investigation continues.
