The Muscogee County Coroner’s Office identified 19-year-old Vicente Perez who was killed after being struck by a vehicle in Columbus.
The fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place at the intersection of 51st Street and Veterans Parkway. According to the investigation reports, a vehicle hit 19-year-old Vicente Perez for reasons that are yet to be known.
Vicente Perez died of blunt force trauma and was declared dead a little after 3 a.m. At this time, it is unknown if the vehicle that struck the pedestrian stayed at the scene or not after the collision. No other details are made available.
The incident remains under investigation.
