Officials identified 19-year-old Alex Ghazarian who died after a two-car crash in Burbank (Burbank, CA)

Authorities identified 19-year-old Alex Ghazarian as the man who lost his life following a two-vehicle accident Thursday in Burbank.

The fatal car crash took place on Front Street. The preliminary reports showed that a car driven by Alex Ghazarian collided with another vehicle and a fence just north of the Metrolink Station on Front Street. Officers actively responded to the scene and, on arrival, found Ghazarian still in the driver’s seat.

They tried to extricate him and provide medical aid, but he died of his injuries at the scene.  The reports also revealed that the blue sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed before the incident happened. A woman driving a SUV was also involved in the wreck and was transported to a local trauma center with non-fatal injuries.

At this time, it is unknown whether drugs and alcohol were involved in this collision. Unsafe speed possibly contributed to the crash. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
