According to the Police department, a motor vehicle accident injured an officer on Thursday afternoon.
Officials reported that the crash occurred near North Jim Miller Road and Lake June Road.
According to the department, the officer was heading southbound on North Jim Miller when a driver moving west on Lake June struck the vehicle on the driver’s side.
The officials stated that the officer was rushed to the area hospital. He suffered non-life-threatening injured from the crash.
Officials also reported that the driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the crash.
The identity of the officer was not released by the department.
The Police Department provided no additional information related to the crash.
