An 18-year-old man from Nevada, Missouri, died Thursday afternoon in a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 54 about four miles west of Nevada, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred around 1:50 p.m. and involved a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe that was traveling westbound at the time, the Patrol's online crash report states. The driver, identified only by age and hometown in the preliminary report, was pronounced dead at the scene.
