A 63-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash on US-160 just north of Forsyth, according to a preliminary report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at 11:42 a.m. on September 11, about one-fifth of a mile north of Forsyth in Taney County, the Patrol said. The rider was operating a 2007 Harley Davidson Road King traveling northbound at the time of the crash, according to the Patrol's online crash report.

The driver was transported for medical treatment following the crash, the Patrol reported. No other vehicles were involved, and no fatalities were reported in connection with the incident.

Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time of the crash, according to weather data.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D is investigating the crash, listed under incident number 260388196.
