A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash on private property along Fir Road, about a mile and a half east of Carthage, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report.

The crash happened on Aug. 9, 2026, at 2:45 p.m., the Patrol said. A 2007 Yamaha V Star 1300 motorcycle was traveling southbound at the time of the incident, according to the preliminary report.

The driver was transported for medical treatment after sustaining serious injuries, the Patrol reported. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Troop D of the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to and investigated the incident, which has been logged under case number 260336919.
