A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route U south of Ricketts Road in Boone County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report. The crash occurred at approximately 3:50 p.m. on August 1, 2026.
According to the Highway Patrol, a 2008 Harley Davidson Dyna Street Bob was traveling northbound on Route U when it collided with a 2017 Ford Explorer heading southbound. Light drizzle was falling in the area at the time, according to weather data.
The motorcycle's driver, a 42-year-old man from Centralia, sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported for medical treatment, the Highway Patrol reported. No other injuries were noted in the crash documentation.
