According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident was reported on Tuesday.
The officials stated that a Harley Davidson and a Toyota were involved in the crash that happened on southbound Highway 242, south of Willow Pass Road at around 11:10 p.m.
CHP officer Adam Lane reported that the Toyota hit the rear of the Harley Davidson resulting in the motorcyclist falling on the highway.
The ambulance transported the victim to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead by the authorities.
The officials are yet to identify the deceased victim.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the officials.
