Motorcyclist killed after slamming bike into a stopped car on I-15 Ramp to I-8 (San Diego, CA)

A San Diego freeway transition ramp was blocked during Thursday’s commute after a motorcycle rider crashed into the back of a vehicle and died, as per the California Highway Patrol.

The bike rider rammed into a sedan parked on the right-hand shoulder of the transition ramp between northbound Interstate 15 to westbound Interstate 8 just after 4 p.m., CHP Officer Jim Bettencourt mentioned.

On arrival, medical crews immediately began performing CPR on the rider at the scene. Despite the life-saving efforts, the rider did not survive and was declared dead, Bettencourt added. At this time, authorities have not revealed the identity of the motorcyclist.

The transition ramp was shut down during the evening commute as CHP officers looked into the crash. No other details are available.
