Motorcyclist Injured In A Motor Vehicle Collision In San Francisco (San Francisco, CA)

According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle collision occurred on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge on Thursday. 

The officials stated that a motorcyclist was hit by a Mini Cooper. The car was merging into the fast lane when the collision occurred. The bike flew off the bridge. The motorcyclist remained on the bridge. 

The driver of the bike was admitted to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. 

According to the officials, they attempted to retrieve the vehicle but they were unsuccessful. 

The driver of the Mini Cooper was not cited, reported Officer Mark Andrews. 

The identity of the motorcyclist was not released by the officials. 

No additional information regarding the crash is available.
