Motorcyclist dead, 1 person hospitalized after a two-vehicle accident in Dallas (Dallas, TX)

One person was killed and another received injuries following a two-vehicle accident on Sunday morning in Dallas.

As per the initial information, the incident began just before 4 a.m. when a man riding a black 2015 Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on Skillman Street approached Velasco Avenue at a high rate of speed. At that point of time, a 30-year-old man driving a gray 2019 Toyota was going westbound on Velasco Avenue and stopped at the stop sign at Skillman Street before the collision.

The reports showed that the driver in the Toyota did not yield the right of way to the motorcycle and tried to continue straight onto Velasco Avenue. According to the authorities, the motorcyclist struck the back left passenger door of the Toyota.

The Toyota rotated onto the westside curb on Skillman Street due to the impact. The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The driver of the Toyota was taken to a local hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue with non-fatal injuries. No other details are available.
