On Sunday afternoon, a man lost his life following a crash involving a motorcycle and a car on Pueblo Avenue and Stadium Avenue.
The two-vehicle crash involving a 2015 Kawasaki Ninja and a 2017 Volvo XC90 SUV occurred on Pueblo Avenue and Stadium Avenue at 12:41 p.m. The Napa Fire personnel immediately responded to the scene and rendered aid to the 26-year-old male motorcyclist from Fairfield. Afterwards, an American Medical Response ambulance took the rider to Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. Authorities will release the identity of the victim after notifying the next of kin.
As per reports, the motorcyclist was heading west on Pueblo Avenue when the 35-year-old Napa woman in the Volvo just took a left turn from southbound Stadium onto eastbound Pueblo. Then, the two-vehicle collided with each other. The authorities confirmed that the SUV driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police. The authorities do not believe that alcohol and drugs contributed to the crash. The crash resulted in the closure of some sections of Pueblo and Stadium avenues for about six hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
