A minor died after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday in Red Bluff.
As per the initial information, the fatal pedestrian accident took place in the 1000 block of Kimball Road. The preliminary reports showed that 18-year-old Isabella Helmericks was driving a vehicle that reportedly hit the child.
On arrival, responders found the minor on the road in serious condition and rushed them to the hospital, where the child died of their injuries. Drugs or alcohol did not contribute to the crash. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other information is available.
The accident remains under investigation.
