On Sunday, Maria De Jesus Gastelum Ibarra Tamayo, of Manteca, died following a motor vehicle accident in San Bernardino.
As per the initial information, the fatal traffic collision took place at approximately 10:10 a.m. at the intersection of 5th Street and Waterman Avenue. Maria Tamayo suffered major injuries and was declared dead at 10:50 a.m. in the emergency department at Loma Linda University Medical Center.
The events that have led up to the deadly accident remain unknown at this time. It is also unclear how many vehicles in total were involved in the crash. No additional information has been provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
