On Saturday, one person suffered serious injuries following a motorcycle accident in Roseville.
As per the initial information, the rider was navigating the left turn of the ramp from eastbound Interstate 94 to westbound Interstate 96 when his motorcycle crashed at about 1:15 a.m. The preliminary investigation showed that the motorcycle drifted off the roadway, jumped the curb and rolled on its side.
The vehicle slid a significant distance before the rider was thrown from the motorcycle. The bike then reportedly continued to flip down the shoulder of the ramp before coming to rest. On arrival, emergency crews transported the victim to the hospital with critical injuries.
Officers reported that the man was also found to be a felon in possession of a gun without a CPL. Alcohol is believed to be involved in the accident. The identity of the victim remains unknown at this time.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
