A 25-year-old man from Dixon suffered serious injuries Wednesday evening in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 28 at Hawk Dr. in Pulaski County, according to KMIZ.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the crash happened just after 6:15 p.m. as the man was driving a 2018 Lincoln MKZ westbound on Highway 28. Investigators said the driver fell asleep at the wheel prior to the crash.

The man sustained serious injuries in the crash, KMIZ reported. No other vehicles were involved, and no other injuries were reported.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
