A motorcyclist was seriously injured Monday afternoon in a crash on Route Y near Eldon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The collision happened just before 4 p.m. in the 150 block of Route Y in Miller County, the Patrol's crash report states. According to KMIZ, a 54-year-old man from Barnett was riding a 2012 Kawasaki motorcycle when the crash occurred.

According to the fact bullets provided, the motorcyclist was attempting to avoid another vehicle at the time of the crash. Two vehicles were involved in the incident overall.

The rider suffered serious injuries and was the only person reported hurt in the crash, KMIZ reported. No fatalities were reported.
