A 34-year-old man from St. Robert was seriously injured Sunday afternoon when the motorcycle he was riding struck a deer on Highway 17 near Livingston Road, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
The patrol said the man was riding a 2011 Harley-Davidson southbound on Highway 17 near the Livingston Road intersection in Miller County at approximately 2:15 p.m. when the deer entered the roadway and the motorcycle collided with the animal.
The driver, who was the only person involved in the crash, suffered serious injuries as a result of the impact, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
