An 82-year-old Smithton man suffered serious injuries Monday night when the utility vehicle he was driving left Route DD southeast of Tipton, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The patrol said the man was driving a 2016 John Deere XUV865R westbound on Route DD near its intersection with Route KK when the UTV went off the right side of the roadway. Investigators reported one vehicle was involved in the crash.
