A man in his 30’s lost his life following a single-vehicle rollover accident near Mica.
The Sheriff’s Office received a call from someone informing that they came across the crash site on Belmont Road. The caller said that a truck had gone off-road down an embankment and had crashed.
On arrival, authorities located the driver of the truck, a man in his 30s, dead after being partially ejected from the truck. Deputies and Traffic Unit investigators actively responded to the crash scene and partly shut down the road.
According to reports, the truck was traveling westbound when the driver lost control while making a curve. The truck then went down the embankment and rolled as a result of which the driver was partially ejected from the truck. Officials mentioned that the man was not wearing a seatbelt. The identity of the deceased has not been released at this time.
The incident remains under review.
