Man killed after an auto-pedestrian crash in Hillsborough (Hillsborough, CA)

On Friday afternoon, a man lost his life after being struck by a vehicle in Hillsborough.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian collision took place on Interstate 280 near the Black Mountain Road off-ramp at about 4:23 p.m. The preliminary reports revealed that a vehicle hit the man as he was trying to cross the southbound lane of the interstate.

Reports further showed that the pedestrian was initially involved in a single-vehicle crash and somehow ended up in the center divider of the highway. As the victim tried to cross the freeway, a vehicle hit him. The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. No other details are made available.

The incident remains under investigation.
