On Friday night, a man lost his life following an accident involving a Pierce Transit bus and an SUV in Tacoma.
As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place on East McKinley Way. The preliminary reports showed that a bus was traveling northbound on East McKinley Way when an SUV heading southbound went over the center line and collided with the bus.
The driver, the sole occupant of the SUV, suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. The incident did not lead to any other injuries. East McKinley between East Wright Avenue and East G Street was closed as crews worked at the scene. No further details were provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
