A man lost his life following a traffic collision Saturday in North Las Vegas.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the intersection of Alexander and Commerce at around 2:15 a.m. after getting reports of a two-vehicle accident. The preliminary reports indicated that a Dodge Dakota was speeding when it swerved from its lane and crashed into a stopped Toyota SUV.
The force of the collision caused the driver of the Dodge, who was a male in his 30s, severe trauma. He was rushed to UMC where he later succumbed to his injuries. The victim was reportedly not buckled up at the time of the accident. Speed and alcohol impairment are believed to be involved in the wreck. No other details are available.
