Man killed after a truck hits a pole in Interbay (Seattle, WA)

On Monday morning, a man lost his life after his truck crashed into a pole in Interbay.

As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle crash took place at Elliott Ave W and W Mercer Pl. The early reports showed that a man, about 25 years old, slammed his truck into the pole, causing the wires to come down.  Due to the impact, the man was pinned inside the vehicle.

At approximately 6:15 a.m., emergency responders freed the man from the truck. The victim later succumbed to his injuries after “life-saving efforts” were performed. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
