A man lost his life following a two-vehicle accident in Lakeside.
As per the initial information, the fatal motorcycle crash took place on Winter Gardens Boulevard and Sapota Drive. The early reports showed that a man on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle was riding south on Winter Gardens Boulevard when his motorbike crashed into a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by a 68- year-old motorist at the intersection on Sapota Drive.
The motorcycle reportedly hit the left side of the SUV. On arrival, first responders rushed the man to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries upon arrival. The man driving the Chevrolet incurred only minor injuries, but was not taken to the hospital. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
The accident remains under investigation.
